This immersive and interactive encounter invites children to move, play, and create—using light, sound, objects, and movement. Together, we will embark on a journey into a world of fantasy, where we can become animals, fly to the stars, or dive into the deep sea.

Dance will accompany us throughout the journey. We will learn to listen to the rhythm, play simple melodies, and perceive the play of colors, reflections, and light phenomena.

The performance combines moments of observation with moments of active participation—naturally and playfully, so that both children and parents remain engaged throughout.

The performance KUKUK was created from two previous works that won the hearts of young audiences – the short, playful production Pekabu by dancer Lenka Mičincová and the visually rich dreamlike production Sen, created by Zebastián Méndez Marín.

We first presented Pekabu in our flexible QUAKE format, and its immediate success convinced us that it was worth developing this line of work further. It was this enthusiasm that gave rise to the idea for a new interactive performance that combines the best of both worlds – the playfulness and simplicity of Pekabu and the visual poetry and atmosphere of Sen.

At a time when support for culture in Slovakia faces uncertainty, we base our work on what we have at our disposal – the creativity of our ensemble, the available resources, and our relationship with the audience.

KUKUK is a performance that can grow and change along with the audience. It is flexible, accessible, and at the same time fully-fledged – it is created with the same care as our large theater productions, but it can adapt to different spaces and situations. Thanks to this, it brings dance to our viewers.
