“When I feel like burning it all down, I start building.”

Punk is dead. But punks are very much alive. Some have hanged the boots and walk now inconspicuously among us, but if you look close you can find them creating something, taking matters in their hands, organizing the protest, writing the song. 

Age might have tamed them but their will is unbreakable. You will see them standing up for the ones in need, lending hands, finding solutions, and why not every once in a while throwing out a friendly elbow or two, getting in close contact, pushing the boundaries. 

This is an homage to the people that keep the culture moving, the heroes speaking truth to power, willing to risk their jobs or even lives to stand for our right to live in a world with rights for everybody. Doing it with their music, their activism, or just their everyday work; in their community, for the elder, the people with disabilities, kids, the LGBTQ community, immigrants, refugees, the youth.  

When you want something to happen, something to change you better do it yourself. 

It’s so easy to be an observer now.
Becoming a follower it’s just a click away.
But everybody wants to take the lead.
Like scrolling through an uroboros.

we could have invented a new way,
a new economy.
But everybody with a fake coin
wanted a real Lamborghini.
So money, is now monies,
and Lambos are like flies.

There is now new a term to describe the filthy rich
“Ultra rich”
There is also one man sitting on a trillion card house.
And nobody took time to make a new word for us
“the ultra poor”.
